SEM. JOSE ANTHONY F. GARCIA, 4th Year Theologian (Talibon)
"St. John Vianney encountered great difficulties in his studies for the priesthood and only because of his sterling character and spiritual depth, and with the recommendation and special attention of his pastor, that he was ordained. Here in our seminary, many struggle for academic excellence. Many never stop studying for the love of the Church. Many seminarians whom I know here in the seminary have an attitude like that of St. John Vianney who possess the zeal to work with love and amiable heart to reach out to fellow seminarians. Patiece and persistence to overcome one's weaknesses and humbe acceptance of one's failures are virtues we see exemplified each day in the seminary. St. John Vianney worked with love in his ministry. We are challenged by what he said: "Anything we do without offering it to God is wasted." (As published in "Tulay ng Vianney," Vol. 18 No. 1. Interview by Sem. Louieleo G.D. Pelingon.)
